Our Story
& Vision
TechYeet began with a simple idea: help people reconnect.
Founded in 2021 by Jason Jaques, Jay Wilson, and Nicole Lawlor, TechYeet grew out of the isolation of COVID quarantine and a desire to bring people together again. Those early gatherings gave people a chance to get out, make friends, have fun, and rediscover the joy of being part of a community.
Even the name, suggested by Jason’s daughter, a member of Gen Alpha, reflected the spirit of what we were building: something fresh, a little unconventional, and open to doing things differently.
From the beginning, TechYeet welcomed people across geographies, backgrounds, and technology roles. We wanted a diverse and eclectic community where people could connect through shared interests, learn from different perspectives, and build relationships that reached beyond work.
There was also a bigger possibility: bring enough people with diverse skill sets and experiences together, and we could help each other turn ideas into something real, including new startups and business opportunities.
Over our first five years, community leaders brought that vision to life through hundreds of meetups, new initiatives, and a wide variety of clubs. Each began with someone willing to step forward into leadership, bring people together, and try something new.
Through experimentation, successes, and occasional missteps, TechYeet grew into a global community with members in nearly every time zone. As we grew, we simplified our structure, bringing our clubs and initiatives together into one TechYeet Club. Within the Club, Leadership Circles give members space to explore their interests, support one another, and build together.
Today, TechYeet is a social and professional platform built for technology leaders. Its future will be shaped by the people who step forward to lead. That could mean hosting meetups, leading channels, sharing expertise, or bringing an entirely new idea to life.
You don’t need to have every answer before you begin.
Much of what TechYeet has become started with someone saying, “What if we tried this?”
Our commitment is to help our leaders create things that matter to them.
In TechYeet, there is room for your ideas, your interests, and your leadership too. Join us and help shape what comes next.
